My owners manual mentions something about using the "7th click position recline" and it is true that position this works well for FF seats but for all of my britax seats RF boulevard, decathalon and roundabout , I can only get a solid install with the seats in the most upright position so that is the position I use.

You cannot use the inner anchors for a center install, though, seatbelt only. I played around with a center install for an hour or so when this thread was initially posted and I couldn't get a solid enough install that I was willing to drive my child 1 mile to preschool.

As mentioned, with a car seat in the center position, an adult can sit passanger outboard but not drivers outboard, not even a small adult or older child.
